The Fur & Feather Auctions at Melton Mowbray Market have a national reputation for the range and excellence of the livestock available but also include Plants, Produce, Timber and sundry goods and chattels.
Auctions are held weekly on Tuesdays
Prior to bidding you must be registered at the Fur and Feather auctioneers office. Buyers must have ID showing name and full address, in order to obtain a bidding number. No bidding number means you are unable to purchase. Bidding numbers are available per calendar year, and cost £2.
Vendors will be charged 15% commission, plus an entry fee of 20p per lot. Buyers must pay in cash upon completion of the lot, plus 10% buyers premium. At the fall of the hammer, the lots become the buyers responsibility to make sure they are secure.
